Shri Uttam Singh is a Renowned Music Director and Violinist in the Indian film industry. He is considered one of those music composers who have given timeless melodies to Hindi cinema.
He has composed music for several superhit films.
He gained the most recognition with the film “Dil To Pagal Hai” (1997), for which he won both the Filmfare Award and the National Film Award.
The hallmark of his compositions lies in their simplicity, sweetness, and soul-touching melodies.
Apart from Bollywood, Uttam Singh Ji has also made memorable contributions to Punjabi films and devotional music. He shared a deep connection with Lata Mangeshkar Ji and had the privilege of working with her on several occasions.
Award ceremony
The winners of the competition will be honored by the legendary music director Shri Uttam Singh Ji on 07 February 2026 at LATA-MAHOTSAV 2026 in Raipur.
This will not just be an award ceremony, but a historic and emotional moment, as the winners will be honored by a personality who worked closely with Lata Mangeshkar Ji herself and whose music is an integral part of the golden era of Indian cinema.

Eligibility Criteria
- Open for all participants
- Age Groups: 15 to 40 years (Age proof required at registration.)
- Gender: Male and Female
- Participants must not be under any binding professional contract that restricts public performance or recording.
Category Details
Allowed: Any song sung by Lata Mangeshkar Ji on any regional language (Bollywood, Bhajans, Geet, Duet and Ghazals.)
Not Allowed: Songs performed by other singers are strictly prohibited; participant entries with non-Lata Mangeshkar songs will be disqualified.
Registration Norms
- The registration form must be filled out and submitted online before the announced deadline (i.e. 29.11.2025). and result declaration date for selected 40 contestants (03.12.2025)
The entry fee is set at 1000/- and must be paid online; it is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Submission of valid ID proof, age proof, and a recent photograph is required for verification purposes.
1st Audition audio must be RAW Voice Recording with no editing allowed. The 2nd audio shall be in karaoke.
File format must be MP3 and the duration should be a maximum of 3 minutes.
The audio in the file should be clear to ensure proper evaluation by the judges.
Ensure all uploaded documents and the audition audio meet the technical and content guidelines for successful submission.
Performance Rules
Code of Conduct
- Time limit per performance: 3 – 5 minutes (depending on round & Judges Choice).
- Only one song per round is allowed, no medleys are allowed.
- Songs on Karaoke tracks are allowed for online preliminary auditions.
- Live instrument accompaniment will be provided if selected for stage round.
- Participants will have to provide list of 05 songs prior to stage round.
- If songs of any participants are equal and same in any stage round, they will have to opt another song for performance. In a situation of any dispute, the participant will have to sing the song finally given by the jury.
- Stage Round-1 Quarterfinals. : After declaration of final list all the 40 participants must have to report at the Venue : Shri Satya Sai Sanjeevani Auditorium, Atal Nagar, Nava Raipur, Chhattisgarh on 20.12.2025 at Morning 09.00 AM The delay in reporting time should be informed to the organizers in advance.
- All 20 Semifinalists report at the venue by 9:00 AM on 21st December 2025, participate in a training session from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and then compete in the semifinals starting at 2:00 PM the same day.
- In condition of non-participation of any contestant from the final list, the standby contestant will be called for the stage round.
- Participants must be punctual for all rounds, rehearsals and sound checks.
- Any disrespect towards judges, fellow contestants or organizers may lead to disqualification.
- Mobile phones must be on silent mode during performances.
- Plagiarism or misrepresentation will result in immediate disqualification.
- Audio-Video Recording is strictly prohibited during the completion. If any contestant and their Parent/ Relatives/ Friends/ Co-contestants are found doing so will be disqualified immediately.
- Alcohol, drugs and smoking are strictly prohibited at the venue.
- Discipline during whole event shall strictly be followed.
Organizing Committee Norms
- Audition Rounds: Will be held online. Total 40 contestants will lead to Stage Round-1 Quarterfinals. Out of 40, 20 contestants will be selected for Semifinals and final 10 contestants will be moved to Grand Finale.
- Judges: Should be qualified legendary musicians from Bollywood, music teachers or industry professionals.
- Venue & Equipment: Organizers must ensure professional sound systems, stage lighting, and seating.
- Fooding: Lunch and Hi-Tea will be provided to the contestants only, the companion of the contestants will have to arrange their lunch & dinner.
- Lodging / Boarding & Travelling: The organizing committee will not provide Lodging/ Boarding and Travelling facilities, contestants have arrange at their own.
- Special Training Session: 2 hours special training session will be organized for the final 20 candidates before the Semifinal & Final rounds by the legendary singer Smt Mitali Singh Ji, Mumbai (wife of Legendary Playback singer Late Bhupinder Singh Ji) and well known musician Shri Amar Haldipur Ji, Mumbai.
- Prizes & Certificates: The winner will be awarded reputed “Swarnim Dharohar Lata Puraskar” for the year 2025 including cash prize Rs 100000/- and a Certificate, Trophy. First Runner up will be awarded cash prize Rs 51000/- and a Certificate, Trophy. Second Runner up will be awarded cash prize Rs 31000/- and a Certificate, Trophy. All the participants selected for stage round will receive a participation certificate.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure first-aid availability, fire safety and compliance with copyright laws (for public performances).
